Meridian Cattle runs a 2,500-head backgrounding yard in central Kansas, and for years everything was managed in Excel sheets that grew more complicated every single month.
Hours were spent every month updating formulas, fixing broken links, and trying to remember which version actually had the right numbers. When it came time to sell cattle, it was always the same routine: the buyer called, and we'd be scrambling to update feed costs, weight gains, and closeout projections before making a decision that mattered.
We looked at the big cattle software systems. Most were built for massive 50,000-head operations with full-time office staff
So we built CattleLogic.
It's everything we needed but couldn't find: simple cost tracking by lot, instant breakeven calculations, clean feeding and treatment records, automatic inventory subtraction, and offline capability for key features that syncs the moment connectivity is restored.
Just straightforward tools that make it easier to run a tighter operation, catch problems sooner, and know your numbers without digging through spreadsheets.
CattleLogic wasn't designed in a boardroom. It was designed from the back of a feed truck.
